Gait Analysis
- Are you or someone you know prone to falls? Are you an athlete or runner and would like to know how you can increase your performance? Are you in physical therapy but not recovering as quickly as you would like? We have a complete Optogait/Optojump Gait Analysis system in the offices. Optogait allows us to evaluate how our patients and athletes walk and run, evaluate orthotics and braces and allow us to identify people who may be prone to falls.
- We are pleased to offer a GaitPrint of our patients. A GaitPrint is a computerized analysis of your balance and gait that can be used as a baseline for any age group prior to an injury (be it traumatic or surgical) or an event (ie. stroke). The GaitPrint allows your rehabilitation progress to be monitored to determine if you are returning to your baseline levels. A yearly evaluation of your GaitPrint may pick up sublte changes that may identify a disease process early in its development. As podiatrists, we feel we are on the front lines of indentifying gait abnormalities that may be a early sign of another problem that if identifed early and referred to the appropriate specialist we can help our patients improve their quality of lives.
