Foot injuries can happen to anyone at anytime, and unfortunately actress Halle Berry has had to deal with this twice!  Last September Berry broke her right foot while filming in Spain, and she was spotted several weeks later wearing a splint on the same foot.  According to the news, Berry was taking a walk and heard a crack from her foot.  It was also observed that she had stepped on her foot wrong, which may have contributed to the re-injury.

So, how can one keep from re-injuring a broken foot?  Below are some tips to help prevent you from re-injuring yourself.

  • Wear shoes that will protect your feet during sports, or other activities, which may be tough on the feet.
  • Replace your shoes regularly, as they can lose tread and heels wear out.
  • Watch where you are stepping, and avoid walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Take time to ease back into physical activities.  It is best to start slowly, and then work your way into a routine.  If you are participating in an activity and feel pain then stop the activity.
  • Eat and drink foods that provide calcium as it can help build bone strength.

At our office we are here to help you.  If you are currently feeling pain or any other symptoms of re-injury to your foot, please call our office immediately.  We would love to examine your foot, and help you feel better than before.
