• Why Does My Child Have Painful Feet?

    on Oct 7th, 2017

As kids head back to school and parents search for footwear, shoe choice can make a difference in foot fatigue. Although children are resilient, certain foot types are prone to pain. In this case, the most trendy shoe can cause harm.

This is particularly true in a child with flat feet.  Without adequate support through the arch and heel, the tendon on the inside of the foot can become inflamed and result in pain that does not resolve. Sometimes, the flat foot position is so severe that no shoe can properly hold the foot so that pain is much worse with activity.
